Tenerife FAM 2017

Our Tenerife FAM last week was a blast! The group flight over on Iberia Express went very smoothly. Once we landed, we had lunch at Hotel Botanico, which was one of the hotels we stayed at during the trip. This luxury hotel boasts the #1 spa in Europe! We then participated in a walking tour of the historical Puerto de La Cruz followed by dinner at a traditional restaurant where we indulged in tapas. After settling in the next day, we visited the #1 zoo in the world- Loro Parque where we saw a whale show. Next, we made our way to Bodegas Monje vineyard in El Sauzal where we got the chance to taste the wines and have a typical Canarian lunch with wrinkled potatoes and pork. The group also tried Gofio, another traditional dish before heading down to the Hard Rock Tenerife where we ate dinner and rested up for the next day. A new hotel in Tenerife, the Hard Rock is changing the rhythm and rhyme of the island.

Our third day was full of site inspections where we saw the best of the islands hotels that are great for North American travelers. Hotels that we toured included Bahia del Duque, Sheraton La Caleta, H10 Costa Adeje Palace and Iberostar. After dinner at the Hard Rock, we relaxed with cocktails on the 16th floor at the Sky Bar – which had to-die for views of Costa Adeje. On our last day, we went to tour the Ritz Carlton and were fascinated at the cliffs of Los Gigantes. We had free time after where we could go shopping or enjoy the spa at the Hard Rock- which even has a snow cave inside it. After indulging in our last Canarian meal, the trip wrapped up by looking at a memorizing sunset above the La Gomera boardwalk.
