We are pleased to invite you to attend the press trip to Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, from June 25-28, 2016.
If your idea of an adventure is hopping in a car with no set destination and just finding interesting things along the way, then Tenerife is an island that will fulfill your inner explorer. One of my favorite things to do is get in the car and see where the road takes me. On my last trip to the island I had the chance to explore the cultural north.
To begin stargazing, it’s simple: all you have to do is look up. You’ll see the arms of the Milky Way and a vast array of constellations sparkling in the night sky. But what happens is much more complex than that. It’s the feeling that overcomes you- like the world has stopped and you’re suddenly at peace.
While vacation-goers may flock to Tenerife for the sunny beaches and variety of active adventures to choose from, there’s much more to discover. Rhythm, color, luxury and fun- Spain is widely known for hosting some of the worlds most colorful fiestas and carnivals, and Tenerife holds true to its heritage.
If you’re a golfer, what could be better than feeling the warmth of the sun as you tee up on a terraced hillside that was once a banana plantation, gazing out over a sparkling sea, with mountains rising majestically all around you? On Tenerife, you might say that’s, well, par for the course.
What a difference a few centuries make! Wine production on the Canary Islands is a perfect example of that.
One of the great luxuries of travel is the opportunity to experience other cultures—and a great component of any culture is its cuisine. The Canary Islands are a wonderful example of the pleasure of opening a window to another land through its food.
It’s funny how history has a way of changing. Historically, the prime destination in the Canary Islands for hikers and walkers was La Gomera. In 2015, however, Tenerife stepped up by launching a Walking Festival, and now active travelers all over the world have discovered that this island’s varied landscapes is a wonderland for walking and hiking.
Forget Disney World. When you’re looking for a vacation spot that will strengthen family bonds and create memories your children will treasure forever, look no farther than the Canary Island of Tenerife.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell truth from fiction—especially when Hollywood is involved. With its stunning coastline, glamorous beaches, lunar-like lava fields, lush interior, and iconic volcano, Mount Teide, looming in the background, Tenerife is an idyllic setting for everything from rom-coms to action adventures.
